Dr. Hermann, in Mosel, was founded more than 400 years ago and has been managed since 1967 by Rudi Hermann. Christian Hermann joined the family operation in 2001, and he is also the winemaker. The estate’s 16 acres are planted to Riesling and Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc). The Riesling is grown on steep rock slopes of the prestigious vineyards of Erdener Pralat, Erdener Treppchen and Urziger Wurgarten. Annual production is 70,000 bottles.
