Swanky oak adds top-note aromas of cedar and spice to the redcurrants and blueberries on offer here, as well as some dark-stone notes. The palate has such convincing structure with powerful fruit-tannin drive carrying deep, saturated blueberry and plum flavors long.
Balances power and elegance, with terrific purity to the spiced plum, juicy black cherry and framboise notes. Delivers polished and refined tannins, with hints of dark chocolate, green tea and fresh sage as well as a whiff of palo santo on the long finish.
Currant and blackberry succulence runs through this Cab, grown in a comparatively cool McLaren Vale subregion. Soft violets, graphite and savory, earthy spice are tucked underneath, framed by toasty, vanillin oak that floats further to the fore with time in glass.
Menthol, tar, graphite and cedar nose. The palate is tense and has plenty of grip, weight and texture. A cooling eucalyptus note throughout with real density on the palate. Sweet dark fruit and plummy notes on the long finish.
