Château Durfort-Vivens

Château Durfort Vivens takes its name from the 11th century knights known as the Durfort of Duras, and early 19th century scientist Viscount Robert Labat de Vivens, who inherited the estate in 1824. In 1937 the estate was purchased by the owners of Château Margaux, mostly owned by Lurton family. Since 1992 Durfort Vivens has been run by Gonzague Vivens. The estate has 130 vineyard acres, and its second wines are Le Relais de Durfort Vivens and Vivens. The estate is biodynamic.
