Estimate
A smoky cast to the cherry and spice flavors and a hint of vegetal notes mark this rich red. Firm and long, with a lingering echo of smoke and spice on the finish.
The vibrant medium weight flavors possess a finer mouth feel if less minerality and muscle, all wrapped in a sleek, delicious, focused and beautifully well-balanced finale.
The palate is medium-bodied with a little chewiness and sinew on the entry. There is good body here, quite a dense Clos des Réas, albeit with a lot of new oak driving the finish home...
Still quite lightweight but with admirable purity of flavour. Red fruits, precise, smooth tannins. Nothing forced. Lip-smacking satisfaction. Super-clean finish.
