Henri Billiot & Fils

Henri Billiot Fils is in Ambonnay. The house was established in 1896 when Eugene Billiot, a miller, bought land and began growing grapes. For a few decades the family sold their grapes to large Champagne houses. Then, in 1937, the family started producing Champagne under the label Monsieur Louis Billiot. A generation later Louis’ son Henri took over part of his father’s property and started his own label, working at first with his son Serge. Today the estate is run by Laetitia Billiot, Henri’s granddaughter. Henri Billiot Fils is a small, artisanal operation with about 11 acres of vineyards in 18 parcels, nearly all of which are Grand Cru.
