Medium garnet-purple in color, it kicks off with meaty scents of beef drippings and peppered salami, giving way to dark fruits—blackberries, mulberries and black cherries—with hints of black soil, truffles, tapenade and a touch of mocha. Concentrated and full-on full-bodied in the mouth, this delivers bags of perfumed black fruits with lots of savory sparks and ripe, rounded tannins, finishing long and earthy.
