An array of ripe blackberries and blueberries with notes of sweet vanilla and just-picked violets. Some chocolate and graphite too. Full and intense with layers of fine and polished tannins. Its big on the palate yet sleek and succulent with a deep core of delicious fruit and a long, rich, flavorful finish.
Loads of black cherry, plum, toasted spice, violets, and tobacco notes define the nose, and it's full-bodied, with a round, seamless texture, ripe tannins, and a gorgeous finish.
...vibrant crème de cassis, blueberry pie and chocolate-covered cherry scents, plus touches of cardamom and forest floor. Full-bodied with lovely freshness and velvety tannins supporting the generous fruit, it has a persistent fragrant earth-tinged finish.
Blackberry, leather, chocolate, spice, licorice and scorched earth all hit the palate, framed by the insistent, large-scaled tannins that are often referred to as 'Rutherford dust.'
Ripe, with an enticing juicy edge to its boysenberry, blackberry and mulberry fruit flavors, which are carried by licorice root, roasted alder and bittersweet cocoa notes through the finish.
This is a thick, grippy wine with tremendous power and weight, a showcase of pillowy tannin and toasted oak with a velvety presence on the palate. Blueberry, graham cracker and tobacco give it a yin-yang of flavor and personality.
