There is noticeable if discreet wood on the ripe and intensely floral nose that also reflects notes of pear, mineral reduction, white peach and algae.
Green tropical and white floral notes, too. The palate has a staggeringly concentrated core of acid-drenched lemons, lime, peaches and green mangoes. Incredible depth, high acidity and a very long finish.
Allowing the glass five minutes to really open, the Les Clos has a very well-defined, mineral-driven bouquet with light granitic scents coming through with continued aeration.
The flavors are bright, floral and citrus-inflected, much like the Preuses, but with a little more textural depth to round out the edges. Sweet spice and floral overtones add further nuance on the silky, polished finish.
