Founded in 1895 and located on 220 hectares in the Roussillon region, Domaine Cazes counts four generations of family winemaking in the region. Since 1997, all of Domaine Cazes' vineyards have been certified both biodynamic and organic.

Alpha Omega in Rutherford was founded by Robin Baggett and Eric Sklar. The winemaker is Jean Hoefliger and French wine consultant Michel Rolland is involved too. The wines often earn scores in the mid-90s.

Château Beychevelle traces its history to the Middle Ages, when its wine was considered so outstanding it was shipped to England and Germany. The wine still impresses. Robert Parker notes that “Beychevelle wines are generally soft and smooth…”
