Luciano Sandrone began making wine in his parents’ garage, and by 1982 his Barolos were being distributed throughout Europe. Today he makes elegant, well-rated wines with the help of his daughter and his younger brother.
Ghost Horse Vineyard is owned by Todd Anderson, who is dedicated to making luxury Cabernet Sauvignons at very limited production levels. Ghost Horse makes five distinct Cabernets and a Chardonnay. They are all superb.
Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou is a Second Growth Bordeaux in St.-Julien. It was named for the “beautiful stones” found in the region. The wine is even more impressive.
