The Detert Family has been growing grapes on their 50 acres of To Kalon Vineyard since 1954, for decades selling the grapes to Robert Mondavi and other producers. Today the family also produces wines from legendary To Kalon under their own label.
Château Marsau is in the small, little-known Côtes de Francs appellation east of St.-Émilion. Robert M. Parker Jr. has called the wines of the château “Pomerol look-alikes” that offer consistently high quality.
Duckhorn Vineyards was founded in 1976 by the Duckhorn family after an inspiring trip to Bordeaux. This estate was one of California’s first to champion Merlot.
