We all have them. Wines that most pique our interest; the wines we always keep an eye out for when the next auction opens at WineBid. Knowing this, WineBid created Favorites, an efficient and easy way to see and be notified when your favorite wines are up for auction at any given time.
Favorites is a dedicated page on WineBid accessible from the top header of every page by clicking the Favorites "heart" symbol. Here you can save shortcuts to your favorite wines categorized by region, producer, price point, rating, vintage, or any combination of these and other filtering options available on WineBid. You can add and remove Favorite shortcuts and visit this page weekly to quickly navigate to your favorite wines in auction.
Creating a Favorite shortcut is easy! Simply click the heart symbol when viewing an item, producer, or search on WineBid.
To create an Favorite using the Advance Search functionality, follow the steps below:
If your search didn't return any results, don't fret! You can still click the orange heart icon, and you will be notified when wines meeting your search criteria are in auction.
Favorites is often the first stop for WineBid users, particularly after a new auction has begun on Sunday night. Useful features offered on the Favorites page include:
Subscribe to Weekly Email Alerts of Available Favorites
At the top of your Favorites page, you can click the “enable” or “disable” button next to the “Email Options” to subscribe to Favorites email alerts. Once subscribed, you will receive updates on your Favorite wines in auction every Tuesday.
Update Your Favorite Display Preferences
Your Favorites page is customizable and you can select to preview bottles under each available Favorite shortcut when wines are in auction. If you have many Favorites set, you may wish to hide previews to more easily view all your Favorites in auction. On the contrary, if you have many unique Favorites that aren't often in auction, you can select to hide Favorites that are unavailable.
Change the Name or Remove A Favorite
Your Favorites shortcuts will automatically be given a name based on your search criteria. To create your own custom name or remove the Favorite from your list, click on the auto-generated name and select the action "Rename" or "Remove." You can rename to the name of your choice, for example you can change the auto generated name “1990-1999, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, $200 or Less” to "90s Napa Cabs Under $200."
Think of your personalized Favorites page as your shortcut to the wines you want, the wines you love, and the wines you seek—always highlighted, always updated and always at your fingertips. Use Advanced Search to create a new Favorite today!
