Included is 2005 Domaine De La Romanee-Conti Le Montrachet, which Burghound.com rated at 98 pts and described as a wine that “explodes from the glass, bringing incredibly complex and layered aromas...rich and amazingly concentrated broad-scaled flavors that are underpinned by an intense minerality and a palate staining finish of simply unbelievable length...” From California we offer 2005 Kongsgaard The Judge Chardonnay, Robert M. Parker Jr. 98 pts. Parker noted that the wine “flirts with perfection.”

From Beringer and Bryant to Shafer and Quilceda Creek, this collection includes the finest Cabernet Sauvignons from the West Coast. All these wines earned at least 94 pts from the reviewers, and they represent the best of North American winemaking. For instance, included is 2002 Colgin Tychson Hill Cab, which Robert M. Parker Jr. rated at 100 pts and called “A wine of enormous concentration, multiple dimensions, layers of flavor, and a sensational one minute plus finish, its purity, harmony, and symmetry are prodigious.” Stephen Tanzer rated it at 96 pts and called it “extravagantly complex.” Find it and many more outstanding Cabs here.

There are choice Rhones offered here, such as 2004 Clos des Papes Chateauneuf du Pape, Wine Spectator 96 pts, and excellent Bordeaux, including 2003 Pavie, Robert M. Parker 98 pts. And if you enjoy Sauternes, take a look at the 2001 d’Yquem, which Parker rated at 100 pts. Pinot Noir collectors will be especially interested in the many Pinots from Burgundy and California. If you enjoy Riesling, consider the 1990 Joh. Jos. Prum Bernkasteler Johannisbrunnchen Riesling Eiswein, which Wine Spectator rated at 96 pts and described as “big and burly, a giant of a wine that smashes your palate with sweet fruit and nearly tears it apart. Full-bodied and very sweet…” Or how about 1998 Gunderloch Nackenheimer Rothenberg Riesling, which WS rated at 97 pts and called “ethereal?” Those are some of the Rieslings offered in this big collection of white wines and red Rhones. Also offered are Chardonnays from the widely admired Domaine Leflaive and Rhones such as 1997 Jean-Louis Chave Hermitage, 1.5ltr, which Robert M. If you enjoy Barolo, you’ll find plenty of fine offerings here from such producers as Luigi Pira and Clerico. Included is 2003 Luigi Pira Barolo Vigna Marenca, which Wine Advocate rated at 91 pts and described as “sweet and ample on the palate, it gradually reveals new leather and roasted coffee notes that complement the fruit and add further complexity.” Also offered are 2003 Clerico Barolo Pajana, Wine Spectator 92 pts, and 2003 Fratelli Revello Barolo, WS 90. There are several choice Cabs here too, such as 2004 Ramey Jericho Canyon, which Parker rated at 94 pts and complimented for its “wonderfully sweet nose of espresso roast, fudge, blackberry, and cassis with a hint of incense and smoke. The wine is full-bodied, broadly flavored, opulent, and voluptuous.” From Australia we offer 2003 Yalumba Cab/Shiraz, Parker 92 pts.
