Elio Perrone is a 35-acre estate in Castiglione Tinella. The estate has been in the Perrone family for several generations, and was run by Elio until he retired in the late 1990s and passed the management on to his son Stefano, a former professional motocross racer and champion. Castiglione Tinella is home to Moscato, and the Perrone winery has “been a Moscato standard bearer” for some years, according to Gambero Rosseo. The estate also has vineyards in Isola d’Asti where the Perrones grow Barbera, Chardonnay and Brachetto. Elio Perrone’s Moscato and Barbera d’Asti are perennially well-reviewed.
